Hello and welcome!
Following my MSc, I became a professional software developer for 8 years, working in machine vision, business intelligence and digital billboards. During that time I took up photography as a hobby, which took off to such an extent that I switched careers and became a full-time portrait and fashion photographer with my own studio and business in London, for 15 years.
In 2023, I took a planned sabbatical to fulfil a lifetime ambition and travel around the world for over a year, spanning SE Asia, the Middle East and South America. During that time I wrote a C#/Unity game, which was so much fun, I decided to pivot back to being a software developer again, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence. I then spent the next twelve months in intensive full-time study, refreshing my tech skills into a modern context, adding new ones and keeping up to date with the latest developments in AI.
I've worked with people on The X Factor, The Voice and Britain's Got Talent, celebrities like Carol Vorderman, many magazines, and models who've gone on to work with Victoria's Secret, Burberry, Versace, Julian Macdonald and Vivienne Westwood. I was a runner up in the BBC's Photographer Of The Year competition.
My photography was published in numerous magazines: The Times, Daily Mail, News of the World, The Sun, Black Beauty & Hair, Loaded, Pride, Bizarre, W25, Oh Yes, Digital Camera Magazine, Katcall, Spell Europe, Face On, Liberating Style, Glossy, Pick Me Up, Eno Styles, The Dark Side, Flair Now, Rue Morgue, MAMi, Horrorhound, Taxi Magazine Hong Kong. I have been interviewed in Crumbs For Men and Diva Dymes, and shot covers for F*@K! Magazine, Confidence Magazine and Mimi Magazine.
When I'm not coding or learning new tech skills, I enjoy PC games, writing and travel. So far I've been to 84 countries and there are many more I'd like to visit.
